Area of responsibility

Since 1 January 2019, Alfred Watzl has served as a member of the Management Board of STRABAG SE with responsibility for the South + East segment.

This segment offers a wide range of construction services, covering almost every size and type in building and infrastructure projects, with a geographic focus on Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary as well as the region of South-East Europe. Additionally, the segment handles environmental technology activities and the construction materials business.

Curriculum vitae

Alfred Watzl studied civil engineering at the Deggendorf Institute of Technology before beginning his professional career as site manager for STRABAG Sp. z o.o., Poland, in 1999. After several different management positions at the Polish subsidiary – including technical subdivision manager for Building Construction and Civil Engineering – he served as a member of the Management Board of STRABAG Sp. z o.o. with responsibility for the Group’s Polish activities from 2013 to 2018.
